Cockroach reproduction is influenced by the environment and temperature, and they tend to breed more in warmer temperatures. Once the first one appears, a second one will quickly follow, and the population can quickly spiral out of control.
Our company mainly uses the following three methods to provide cockroach control services simultaneously:
Control methods:
Residual spraying method:
- Pesticides are applied to surfaces where pests may come into contact or frequent
- Pests will die when they come into contact with the sprayed surface or habitat
- Its effectiveness usually lasts for several weeks
Bait treatment:
- The safest, most environmentally friendly, odorless method that can kill pests within 24 hours
- It is highly effective against various cockroaches, especially German cockroaches that have developed resistance to other methods
- The bait has a chain killing effect, achieving higher kill rates through cockroach’s shared food and other living habits.
Fumigation treatment:
- Strong penetration and quick killing
- The pesticide is compressed into tiny gas particles that can easily float in the air and penetrate into cracks, achieving comprehensive and quick killing effects (fast-acting, short residual time). It is particularly effective against cockroaches and fleas.
- Effective within an hour

Common types of cockroaches
Common types of cockroaches found in households There are three main categories of cockroach species commonly found in households:
- American cockroach:
Larger in size, reddish-brown in color, and they prefer to live in damp places such as drains or sewers.
- German cockroach:
Smaller in size, brown-yellow in color, and they like to hide in cracks and crevices. They are usually found in warm and humid environments, such as behind stoves and hot water pipes.
- Brown-banded cockroach:
Similar in size to the German cockroach, they have two longitudinal stripes and grow to be about 10-14mm in length.
This species has become the most common cockroach found in households. Brown-banded cockroaches prefer warm and dry environments and do not like to be near water sources.
- The life cycle of a cockroach consists of three stages: egg, nymph, and adult.
- After mating, the female cockroach develops an ootheca, a bean-shaped structure at the end of her abdomen.
- A single female can produce over 10 oothecae (egg cases) with each case containing up to 90 eggs.
- The eggs inside the ootheca hatch after approximately 15 days.
How do cockroaches enter homes?
- Cockroaches can enter homes through various means, such as through cracks, drain pipes, or even second-hand furniture. They can also lay eggs and breed in closets and other areas.
What do cockroaches eat?
- They eat anything organic, such as bread, cake, and even dead cockroaches.
- German cockroaches prefer food and drinks, while American cockroaches prefer decaying organic matter.
Why can’t commercially available insecticides kill cockroaches? What should we be aware of?
- Cockroaches have developed resistance to insecticides due to genetic changes, which makes their offspring immune or resistant to these chemicals.
- General insecticides can still be effective, but one should be aware of the chemical composition and potential health risks, especially for those who are sensitive to certain chemicals.
Can smoke bombs eliminate cockroaches?
- Typically, the heat and smoke from smoke bombs can only kill exposed cockroaches.
- Their effectiveness in controlling cockroaches in hidden cracks, crevices, and cabinets is limited.
